Style of Speed - Land - Active Component

Active Lights™ are a new class of back- and headlights that are based on separately activated Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs) and LASER diodes:

made as a band or a sheet of diodes,

arranged as a Matrix Beam Module (MBM) consisting of a large number of single diodes or individual segments,

build as an LED projector with projecting optics as used for beamers,

build as an LASER diode projector with projecting optics as used for beamers,

constructed as an LASER Lamp system, and

combined as one light module based on the single variants,

which apply safe LED and LASER projection technologies for unriv- aled performances.

Active Laser and Active Maser in the Lights
A further evolutionary step of our Active Lights is the integration of our Active Laser and Active Maser based Active Sensor solutions, specifically scanning/radar systems.

Functionalities

A further application is the interplay with our Active Camera that en- ables the dynamic and fully automatic light assistance system, which reacts flexibly by controlling all single light sources of an adaptive matrix beam lamp module or all single lamp components, like the dipped/low beam and the main/high beam, in accordance to the:

speed,

but also to the measures of visibility, and

the recognition of other vehicles driving

in front or
in the oncoming traffic,

as well as the detection of objects of the environment, like

pedestrians and
road markings

at day and even at night, so that for example a permanent high beam is possible.
A similar function is based on the interplay with other Active Sensors that warns vehicles driving behind with a too low safety distance by

letting the taillight flicker, or

projecting

the actual distance or
a warning sign

on the street for example.
Furthermore, our Active Lights can be enhanced by using our Active Positioning systems as well that is based on our intelligent navigation technology IQNav of our AutoSemantic::Car package and can funct- ion in a proactive/predictive way.
A further enhancement is to use also Active Actuators that move the lights dynamically, when driving along a curve.
